The enclos'd Representation,1 con­
­cerning two Ships which have been taken
by the French without the leaſt pretence,
being put into my hands, I muſt recom̃end
it to your Protection.  It seems to be
of more than ordinary consequence at this
time that care should be taken to have the
due respect paid to Paſses, of which this
Caſe ſeems to be a very scandalous violation.
