    Addressed:
    Letter from L.d Lexington
    to m.r Prior.

    I received y.rs by the Courier on Wen˂d˃nesday &
the other of 17.th the Day afterwards, and you
cant imagine the pleaſure it gave me, for they
are the first I have heard from any body since
I left England, I received likewiſe two Pacquets
from our Ambaſs.~s at Utrecht a great deal
of which in cipher, but I can make nothing of
it, becauſe mine is w.t you have received since,
so beg you to send them a Copy of it if they
have not receiv'd the same; I had done all that you
writ to me about before I received yours, and
hope you will find the Additions I have made
stronger than w.t you ſent me, or what I had
from England, I think I have finish'd also all
the other points I had in charge, & that they will
be to her Ma.ties Satisfaction, I am sure I have
struggled hard for them, the main I have at laſt
obtain'd, and for the small points referr'd in each
Article, they must adjust with the Marq.s de Monteleon
who will have full power for the same, I will
trouble you with no more now, but send the Letters
I write to our Plenip.ries at Utrecht open,
that you may see what is contained therein, &
then pray seal up the Flying Seal & forward
it to them. I wish you from my soul Ioy
of coming into our Confraternity & that you
may have full recompence for all yr Labours,
    when you come back.

The Cortes are appointed for Saturday—
    the 5. of Nov.r tis too late I can't
    poſsibly get the Renunciation translated,
nor a Copy to ſend to our Ambaſs.~s
as I mention'd. therefore incloſe only that
to L.d Dartmouth, therefore if you can
understand Spanish you will ſee w.t
I have been about, if not pray seal
it up & send it directly.
